Christmas photo shoot with Noel
Reading time 2 minutes
The idea
For this shoot, I had Christmas in the good old days on my mind. For Noël, I had three different looks in mind: playful, chic and sexy. For this, I used three different outfits.
Styling
The hair and make-up had been done by Noël herself along with the jewellery. For styling, I had cut circles with a laser machine in a red blanket so that it could hang from the backdrop system. I had bought the Christmas tree from the local shop, and I already had the lights and garlands. The presents were empty boxes, much to the disappointment of my nephews.
Light
The light I used was mainly continuous light, except for the red hair light, which was in the top left just outside the frame. This was an optical punch aimed at the back of the head with a red gel.
The main light was an LED with a long-range reflector and a grid. Sometimes I used Christmas lights to create light in the foreground.
The Christmas tree and two RGB LED lights on "campfire modes" filled in the shadows. These were placed to the left and right. You can see this better in the video below.
I created the effect of giving the Christmas lights that old-fashioned feel by sticking a piece of tape over the lens.
